The Butterfly: You Don’t See the Wings
Here’s the thing about transformation - it hurts.
People love to talk about the “after.” The glow-up. The healing. The comeback. But no one really talks about how brutal the process can be. That’s what this Butterfly T-shirt is about.
Because growth doesn’t feel beautiful when you’re in the middle of it. It feels like pain. Confusion. Silence. Letting go of things you thought you couldn’t live without. Sitting in the dark and hoping there’s something on the other side of it.
The Pain No One Sees
The butterfly design isn’t just aesthetic. It’s a reminder. You don’t see what someone’s been through by looking at where they are now.
People don’t see the breakdowns that came before the breakthrough. They don’t see the therapy. The sleepless nights. The days where you barely held it together. All they see is the version of you that made it out.
Kind of like a butterfly.
No one sees the cocoon phase. The isolation. The tearing down and rebuilding. That part’s invisible. But it’s real. And it matters.
Why I Made This Shirt
I wanted to create something that felt honest.
Not fluffy or inspirational for the sake of it. Just real. Something that says, “Yeah, this is hard. Yeah, you’re in it. And no, you’re not broken.”
I read somewhere that butterflies actually can’t see their own wings. That stuck with me. Because some of you don’t see what everyone else sees in you. You’re in the middle of healing, fighting to become someone better, and you have no idea how far you’ve come.
This shirt is a reminder of that. Even if you can’t see the beauty yet, it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Who This Shirt Is For
It’s for anyone going through real transformation - the messy kind. The painful kind.
It’s for the people in therapy. In recovery. In grief. In limbo. For the ones who feel like they’re in the middle of the cocoon and don’t know what comes next.
This is mental health apparel that’s not trying to fix you. It’s just holding space for where you’re at. If that resonates with you, this one’s yours.
