The Mountain shirt was the first design I created that started with the artwork instead of the slogan. Normally the words come first and the design follows, but this time it was different.
The idea came from a road trip I took with my family through Washington State. We were driving through the mountains, and I wish I could remember the exact area because it left such an impression on me. The scenery was stunning. The rivers, the trees, the mountains towering above everything – it was overwhelming in the best way. It felt peaceful, almost unreal, like something out of a movie.
That experience stayed with me. I wanted to recreate that feeling in a design, even though I knew no shirt could ever truly capture it. Still, the image of those mountains made me think about strength. Mountains are some of the most immovable things in nature. They stand firm no matter what comes against them. If you want to talk about strength, a mountain is one of the clearest comparisons you can make.
At the same time, I thought about the rivers. They never stop moving, and over time they can carve through even the strongest rock. They show a different kind of strength, persistence and constant motion. Both mountains and rivers have power in their own way, and that balance of strength and flow is what inspired this design.
The Mountain shirt is more than just a design to me. It is a reminder of resilience, strength, and the natural beauty that can push us forward when life gets heavy.
